In my book, the Fourth of July gives Christmas a serious run for its money in the "Favorite Holiday Ever Contest." The simplicity, celebration, and community of summer is all wrapped up in one holiday, where we all get together to grill salty meat; wear red, white, and blue; fire off colorful bursts of light in the sky; and, of course, celebrate the freedom we have in our country.

If you're also planning on celebrating your union, here are 13 ideas to create a simple and gorgeous Fourth of July celebration!

Just stop. Stop. I cannot bear the adorableness of this. If you have a flower girl, stick her in this adorable gingham dress and give her a crate like this one to throw out petals. It doesn't get any more summer than that! AND, you're in luck! I found a dress almost identical to this beauty right here ! Amazon FTW.

red suspenders for wedding

RED SUSPENDERS

Suspenders on a little boy are one of the reasons why the word "cute" is still used. The bright red suspenders pop against a crisp white shirt and I love the contrast! You can find similar supsenders as these here on Amazon.
