Our story

A cottage shop born from a deep respect for craft and the people behind it.

How it started

Tabitha's Shop began in 2018 as a market stall. Every Saturday morning, we'd unload crates of hand-poured candles and second-hand ceramics onto a trestle table. People stopped, asked questions, came back the next week with friends. That repeat curiosity told us something: there was a genuine appetite for objects made with intention.

By 2020, the stall grew into a small retail space — still modest, still personal. We kept things simple: only stock what we'd want in our own homes. That rule hasn't changed.

What we believe

Mass production has its place, but it shouldn't be the only option. When someone buys a mug from our shop, they're getting a piece that took hours to throw, glaze, and fire. That matters. It changes how you hold it in the morning.

We believe in fair prices for makers, transparent sourcing, and the kind of customer relationship that doesn't end at the till. If something chips, we'll help you find the potter to repair it.

The makers we work with

We partner with roughly two dozen independent makers across the country. Some are full-time studio artisans; others balance their craft alongside day jobs. All of them share a commitment to quality materials and honest workmanship. We visit every workshop before we stock their goods.
